Steps for Building a Brick Outdoor Oven
One of many attractive features that you can add to your home is brick outdoor oven.
A unique taste is added to the pizzas when they are baked in brick outdoor oven. Brick outdoor oven can easily be constructed. To make a brick
outdoor oven you need bricks, cement, loam, shovel, polyurethane dome, particle board and heat proof stone.
There are some steps that should be followed in making the brick outdoor oven. They are discussed below:
1) Choose a suitable location for the oven. Prefer an open area for that. The open part should be facing the wind. It will let the air get
into the oven.
2) Dig for the foundation then. Once the plot is found, level it and mark the dimensions then. That should be 65 inches by 55 inches. When the
dimensions are marked dig a foundation that is at least 20 inches deep.
3) Now it’s the time to lay the foundation. Line the sides of the foundation with bricks. Once the bricks are adjusted, pour the cement and
waits until it solidifies.
4) Build the pedestal now. If you want you can have a fire wood storage area too. All the four sides of the pedestal can be built in
bricks. There is another way of building the pedestal. In that way you can make the three sides, the back, the right and the left side with the
help of particle board and then place bricks around it. To support the oven, an arch can be made but if not, make all the four sides with
bricks.
5) Place the loam and then the surface. Polyurethane dome can be used for the top. Have an opening at the back of the dome to let the smoke
escape. After that lay the loam inside and outside.
6) Temper the oven and get ready to bake.
